Day Three of the Mega Poker Series Croatia played down to the Final Table in the Casino Adriatic Team 770 Pro Mario Nakowitz as short stack was not able to double up early and hit the rail. Among those that hit the rail before the payout were also Niki Kovacs and Julian Herold. The Austrian Poker Pro first got two outered with Kings against Queens only to lose a huge flip when his Tens could not hold up versus Ace-King.
Gerhard Kransteiner could not grind his short stack for a second in the money finish in a row either, but the elimination of Julian Herold who started the Day as fourth in Chips was spectacular. MPS Madrid winner Samuel Bernabeu kept putting the whole table under pressure and the German lost half of the stack he started with and three-bet into an open raise from the Spaniard. Casey Kastle went all-in from the Button with Pocket Kings and only the German Team Pro called with Pocket Jacks and the risk of elimination. No Jack showed up and the Kings even made a flush to crack the bubble.
Once in the money the eliminations rained in and 11 players hit the rail within 45 minutes until play finally slowed down a bit. TurboPoker Pro Florent Marquès was one of those eliminations and he claimed the 30th place for 1,450€, the last Poker770 Team Pro should follow in 18th place with Jonathan Rozema from the Netherlands. Ursula Statzinger was eliminated as second last women in the field in 15th place and a special shout goes to our Online Qualifier from India, Shirish Jajodia, who made the last two tables and finished in 14th place.
The biggest pot was played between Denis Ngojevan and Samuel Bernabeu and the Kings of the Madrid Champion held up to claim the huge lead over his opponents. Daniela Salic finished in a very impressive 12th place as best woman and with the elimination of Greek Online Qualifier Athanasios Ntalakas, Day 3 came to an end. The Chipleader going into the Final Table is once again Samuel Bernabeu, who is also leading the ranking for 2012 and it will be interesting to see if he can emerge victorious for the second time in a row with his reckless play.
